waking up early in the morning for the past 3 days was like a chore to me. it's hard having to wake up again at 6.30am to get to school on time even though my sch starts at 8.30am. i think i shouldnt waste my sleeping time in order to take bus 170. but then, it's more expensive for me to take 963 cause i need to transfer twice. whereas 170 is walking diatance from home. maybe sacrificing some sleep to save like 50cents per day is worth it. afterall, i still rely on my parents for my daily expenses.
im taking 4 units this year, namely Intro to Economic(Econ), Principle of Accounting(POA), Principle and Banking and Finance(PBF) and Mathematics 1(Maths1).
after 1 week of lesson, i was somewhat predicting Econ and PBF gonna be a disaster for me. yes, i could hardly understand what's the econ teacher talking about! and he seems like he's merely reading from the notes, which i know i can read it myself at home. he didnt even bother to really explain, or maybe he did and i couldnt get it. i think i need to find someone to help me in econ or buy the textbook and study myself? i've no idea YET. as for PBF, the teacher speaks really slow ! or maybe because i was trained in IJC for speed, so things seems to be slow, or maybe it's because it's only the first week. let's pray things get better as time pass.
POA wasnt that bad, the teacher was kind of lame and humourous so i could tahan through 3 hr and lecture cum tutorial without feeling like sleeping. oh yes, saturday we had a POA workshop, lecturer told us we NEED a calculator for lesson. so generally, we would bring it to class. in front of everyone was either scientific or graphic calculator because we came from either JC or poly. the lecturer walked one round and said all our calculator failed to meet the criteria, he say we need a accounting calculator, initially i thought it was some more advanced calculator, but i was WRONG ! the calculator we need was the most normal type that we see people using every where ! those that doesnt have cube root sign. the most basic with numbers and signs only. so i therefore conclude, everytime i enter a new school, i need to get a new calculator! pri sch everything was by brain, sec sch was scientific cal, jc was graphic cal, now the simplest cal!
oh, and maths 1 we cannot use calculator at all! and maths 1 was like what we learn in sec sch. it looks like all sec sch stuffs, except that it seems to be modify abit to incorporate the econ elements into it. im learning simultaneous equation, indices, logarithms again. i think i should score in maths since maths is always fun.
anyway, it's only the 1st week of school and i received my year worth of notes!
every subject is like a 3cm THICK notes! but it isnt like JC where they bind it nicely for us. this time they just gave us the whole stack of paper bundle by a rubberband. but me and elaine took the initiative to bind them together in case we lose it!
